Modern Contemp Open Classes

Fun, expressive, and skill-building classes focused on technique, choreography, musicality, strength, flexibility, and performance quality.

Classes take place on Tuesdays & is available for:
– Tiny Tots
– Junior 1
– Junior 2
– Seniors
– Adults

Exam Classes

Structured training for dancers wanting to deepen their technique and enter official examinations.

A focused, disciplined environment designed for long-term growth and strong technical foundations.
Levels 1–4 available

Private Classes

One-on-one classes for dancers wanting extra attention, competition preparation, exam coaching, or custom choreography.

Competition Training

Opportunities to train, prepare, and compete in local and national competitions for dancers who want to take their dance journey further.

Meet The Teacher

Lené Nel

I started dancing in 2003, and from my very first class, it felt like home.

In 2017, I stepped into the role of teacher – a natural next step in a lifelong passion.

I’m a qualified Modern Dance teacher through the Theatre Dance Association (TDA), with a love for lyrical movement and a deep appreciation for how dance blends discipline, emotion, and freedom.

At Draai Dans Akademie, I’m building more than a studio – I’m creating a space where dancers of all ages can grow, express, and discover their unique voice through movement.
